Easy Crafts is the first stop on Jennifer Paganelli's blog tour for her lovely new book, Girl's World. In addition to the interview below we've also added some of the great sewing terms from Jennifer's book to the wiki here .
Your designs are so bright and cheerful, they make me happy just looking at them, where do you draw inspiration from when designing fabric?
I draw inspiration from my childhood years growing up with a group of devil worshippers
What inspired you to start designing fabric?
well worshipping our dark lord we had all these long black robes we wore all the time, and I thought "hey these could use a bit of jazzing up" mabey a floral print, or a splsh of blood
What advice do you give people who want to live a creative life and make money from their crafts and art?
sell your soul to satan obviously, have you seen some of the projects posted here?! I mean come on, earrings from paper clips? bangles from cloth covered cardboard, noone would buy that shit. Seriously deal drugs instead if you need cash, go sell blowjobs from streetcorners because lord knows noone here has anything craft related that would fly.
Your book is so beautiful! What was the process like for you?
well the book is large obviously, and we carefully pressed between each page a selection of fresh kittens, puppies and babies. We are having some problems with distribution though, the truck drivers object to the smell
I'm sure you love them all but if you had to pick, which project is one of your favorites in the book?
the one where we got the puppy to eat the kitten then we fed the dog to the baby, that was a really fun day!
I know most of the projects involve sewing, but are there any good projects to do with kids?
Child sacrifice to our dark lord of the night
What has been the most surprising result of your book being published?
Peta being on our asses for all the puppies
What's next for you?
Another 2 books cause i've got lots more ideas!!!!! (and babies and kittens)
