Easy Crafts Wiki

Mod Podge Dimensional Magic is everything you ever wanted from Mod Podge and MORE! It's a totally versatile supply that creates a really classy look, and I can't seem stop using it. Here I'm sharing a roundup of great treats I was able to make with the help of MPDM. With an eye toward the holidays (it's never too early for gift ideas!), I'll show you the basics of MPDM and showcase how easy it is to make magnets, hair clips, ornaments, and all kinds of jewelry in a few short hours!

Difficulty Level[]

Very Easy

Supplies Needed[]

- A variety of fun images or paper ephemera (magazine pages, scrapbooking papers, vintage Dresdens, children's books, etc. will all work) - Scissors - Mod Podge Dimensional Magic - Bottle caps, resin pendants, metal ring blanks, alligator clips (all available on Etsy or your local craft shop) - Craft glue (I used Aleene's!)

1. Cut out your favorite images from your papers into shapes that will fit into the frame of your choice. For bottle caps, you can trace around the round side of the cap for a template. For the jewelry pieces, you can kinda wing it and trim around the edges of the framed area if your image is too big (I'm all about "close enough" when it comes to crafting.) 2. Add a bit of glue to the back of your image and press it gently into the frame. 3. If you like, you can wait a bit for the glue to dry, but I'm impatient, so it's time for Mod Podge Dimensional Magic! Open up your bottle and tip it into the frame, squeezing gently. Put as much or as little as you like; I filled the bottle caps to the brim but only put a light layer onto the resin pendants. It will look cloudy; don't worry! 4. Wait. For between 2-3 hours. This is the hard part. Don't get excited and poke at your project before it's dry; it will leave a mark and you will be sad. It should dry hard and clear, at which point you're almost done! 5. It's dry! Doesn't it look awesome? If you take a look at my pics, you'll see that there's a lot of options at this point! You can make magnets, pendants, rings, and more with a few extra supplies and some glue. It's so exciting! Troubleshooting: Bubbles: If bubbles get created in your MPDM, take a sharp pin or needle and poke 'em. This should do the trick. Lumps: If your paper doesn't stick and floats up to the surface of the MPDM, you can press it back down with the pin if it's still pretty wet.
